Streamline your Google Drive organization by automatically creating structured folders from existing item names, enhancing productivity and ensuring systematic content management.
This n8n workflow programmatically creates new folders in Google Drive based on the names of existing items within a specified parent folder. Triggered by a manual input or code providing a 'Folder ID', the workflow first lists all files and subfolders directly contained in that target Google Drive folder. It then processes each identified item individually. For every item (whether it's a file or an existing folder), a new, empty folder is created using the exact name of that item. These newly generated folders are placed back into the original parent folder. This can be useful for restructuring, preparing for content migration, or establishing a standardized folder hierarchy where existing item names dictate new organizational structures.
