Replace Google Slides Images & Alt Text via Webhook

Streamline your presentation updates by automating image and alt text replacements in Google Slides with n8n, enhancing productivity and ensuring up-to-date content effortlessly.

Http Request
Webhook Trigger

This n8n workflow automates the process of updating images and their alt text within a Google Slides presentation. It is triggered by an incoming webhook that expects to receive a `presentation_id`, a `page_id`, and an `image_url`. Upon receiving this data, the workflow first uses the Google Slides API to retrieve all page elements for the specified page. It then identifies a specific image placeholder on that page. Subsequently, it performs a batch update operation on the Google Slides presentation, replacing the identified image placeholder with the new image provided by the `image_url`. Additionally, it updates the alt text for the newly replaced image. Finally, the workflow responds to the initial webhook, indicating completion. This automation is useful for dynamically updating presentation content, such as product images or data visualizations, without manual intervention.
